Maroff crane is design according to IACS Class Rules for Lifting Appliances, made suitable for offshore work environment. The crane boom is actuated by hydraulic cylinder for good control of boom movement in rough sea. Top of boom is design with maintenance space for hoisting winch complete with guard rail to ensure safety of crew during maintenance. The Control system is using closed center type proportional control valve allowing possible simulteneous actuation (Slew + Luffting + Hoisting) during operation which enhance greatly ease of operation. 

 

For ease of installation, the hydraulic power pack is built-into the crane top column, making it a stand-alone unit with only electric cable connection required during installation. The electric motor is positioned in the lower fixed pedestal with maintenance access allowing the motor to be removed easily from the crane for future maintenance.

 

The hydraulic system is equipped with return filters for keeping oil clean for hydraulic parts, main system relief valve for overall system protection and avoiding overload on crane. All actuator are also equipped with load holding valve as dynamic brake to avoid slipping after stopping of operations. A emergency hand pump is also fitted for allowing lowering of load to safety during power outage in the midst of operation.
